Deirdre pursued her education and running career for Bryant University, Massachusetts, where she shortly became a dominant figure in the NEC Conference. She was unbeaten in the NEC conference in her time in America, setting Collegiate and Conference records, which still stand today. When she returned to Irish soil, she finished the remainder of her Education in Dublin City University, where she received a higher graduate diploma in Physical Education and Biology Science. In her years at DCU, she competed on scholarship for the college, winning National titles in the 1500m and 3000m in Indoor and Outdoor track and field. She continued her success after college with a National title in the 3000m Indoor. She has competed over the years as an International Athlete and continues to improve on her successes. While pursuing more in her Athletic career, she also dedicates her time to Physical Education teaching in St. Michael's College, Ballsbridge. She hopes to share her knowledge in the sport of Athletics and strength and conditioning to the younger generation, in the hope of creating fun and highlighting talent in the sport of Athletics in Ireland.
